[Men's Outdoor Track & Field] Gandy eyes NAIA gold at Gulf Shores
GULF SHORES, Ala. – Just two years ago Drew Gandy had never participated in a track meet in his life, let alone competed with the nation's best. But after a friend talked him into giving collegiate track & field a try at Central Methodist University, Gandy has not looked back. He has overcome a tough learning curve in what is arguably the toughest event to participate in and has proved his belongs with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' (NAIA) best – and then some.
Gandy will join five CMU teammates this week at the NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, which will take place Thursday through Saturday at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium. Admission to the event is $8 per day. The meet will be streamed live via the internet on a pay-per-view basis at the link below.
