The Reds can salvage a series split, which would be a welcomed sight going into a tough series against the Cubs. Especially after yesterday, when the bats cooled off a little bit.

Their job won’t be much easier today, with veteran Jeff Samardzija on the mound. The Reds have Tim Adleman, who’s become one of their most reliable pieces. They could use a solid performance from him today.
