Morning Briefing: Mets Complete First Time Through Rotation

0 1

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets have officially completed their first time through the starting rotation in 2026. Only 31 or so more cycles to go.

It’ll go back to the top with Freddy Peralta on Wednesday after Kodai Senga was strong in Tuesday’s season debut. Senga allowed two runs in the third inning but otherwise gave the Mets six quality frames.

The Mets’ offense, though, was shut out for the first time in 2026. They lost 3-0. Read more on the game here.

The Mets have a 3-2 record five games into the season.

After splitting the first two games of the series, the Mets and Cardinals will play the rubber game at 1:15 p.m. ET. Peralta allowed four earned runs over five innings in his Mets debut on Opening Day, and he’ll be looking for some slightly better results on Wednesday.
