Box Score

The Syracuse offense exploded on Sunday after a lackluster first two games. As a whole, the lineup totaled eight hits to score their ten runs. The Mets had three extra-base hits, including what ended up being a game-winning, two-run home run by Ji Hwan Bae in the top of the eighth inning. Every player in the lineup outside of Ronny Mauricio reached base in the contest, a testament to the group effort put forward by the offense.

After a strong beginning to the season, the Mets (Triple-A) allowed eight runs, totaling the same amount from their first two games. However, there were a few bright spots in the onslaught of offense. Nick Burdi pitched a clean inning in the seventh inning, helping his chances of seeing major league action this season. Austin Warren earned the save, keeping his ERA at 0.00, and awaits an inevitable call to the big leagues.
