LA28 unveils vibrant “Look of the Games” inspired by California Superbloom
LA28 has officially unveiled the “Look of the Games” for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Los Angeles 2028, bringing to life a bold visual identity that will define every touchpoint of the Games experience.
Centred on the concept of Los Angeles in full bloom, the design draws inspiration from one of nature’s most striking phenomena - the California Superbloom - capturing the city’s energy, diversity, and creative spirit through dynamic graphic patterns and vibrant colour palettes.
“The visual identity of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, rooted in one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena, the California Superbloom, will showcase the region in a bold and colourful way,” LA28 said in a press release.
"The Superbloom mirrors the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games," said Ric Edwards, LA28 Vice President of Brand Design and Executive Design Director. "Athletes train their entire lives for a moment on the greatest stage in sports. When the conditions are right, everything comes together, and something extraordinary happens. That feeling of anticipation, energy and the culmination of the many moments that led them here is what inspired our Look of the Games."
The result is a visual identity that reflects the vibrancy and layered character of Los Angeles itself.
"We wanted the Look to feel like Los Angeles itself," said Geoff Engelhardt, LA28 Head of Brand Design. "LA is a city of incredible creativity, sitting at the intersection of sport and entertainment, and the Games will bring the world together here in 2028. By embracing abstraction and emotion, we created something people can interpret in their own way and see themselves reflected in."
For each edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Organising Committee develops a distinctive visual identity designed to immerse athletes, spectators, and global audiences in a unique atmosphere. For LA28, this identity will extend across competition venues, fan zones, citywide installations, broadcast environments, and digital platforms - creating a cohesive and immersive Games experience.
As one of the Movement’s most powerful storytelling tools, the Look of the Games unifies branding, field-of-play presentation, and fan and athlete experiences. It will feature across signage, uniforms, tickets, digital content, and broadcast graphics, ensuring a consistent and memorable visual language worldwide.
