Aarhus Havoc claim Danish Baseball5 Championship 2026 honours
The city of Aarhus strengthened their spot at the top of Baseball5 in Denmark on 15 March after the Aarhus Havoc won the Danish Baseball5 Championship 2026, which was held in Nyborg. They defeated the Syddjurs Mavericks in the final. Jutland Krakens, which are also located in Aarhus, claimed third place.
The Aarhus Havoc consists solely of Danish Baseball5 national team players. They dominated the indoor season in Denmark, which also included wins at the Aarhus Invitational, Aarhus Open, Jutland Regional Championships and the Oysters Open. In the Danish Baseball5 Championship the team conceded only one run all tournament long.
“The players have been training at a completely different level compared to the rest of the league, largely due to their preparations for the European Championships back in November,” said Philip Spielmann, the head coach of both Aarhus Havoc and the Danish Baseball5 national team. “When you are training Baseball5 almost every day, it is only natural that you stand out when facing teams that might not have the same daily frequency.”
Baseball5 in Denmark now turns from indoor to outdoor. The outdoor season will be highlighted by the Street DM on 27 June. The tournament will be part of the Danish Championship Week in Hering, which is organised by the National Olympic Committee in Denmark with multiple sports holding their national championship during the week of 22 to 28 June.
