CTBC Brothers (CPBL), Dantos (Nicaragua) to open Baseball Champions League 2026 as tournament schedule unveiled

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), Baseball Champions League Commissioner and the Mexican Baseball League (LMB) today unveiled the official game schedule for the Baseball Champions League (BCL) 2026, to be played at Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City from 24–29 March.

The five participating teams will face each other in a four-game round robin (adjusted from the previously announced two-groups of three teams) through Saturday, 28 March. Each of the five competition days will include two games (at 10:00 and 19:00 local time). Each participant will enjoy a rest day.

The CTBC Brothers (CPBL, Chinese Taipei) and Managua Dantos (the winners of the 2025 Nicaragua German Pomares League) will open the tournament on 24 March at 10:00 local time, launching the Opening Round.

After the Opening Ceremony (scheduled for 18:00 local time), the hosts and winners of the 2025 Mexican Baseball League (LMB), Mexico City Diablos Rojos, will face Kane County Cougars (USA, the winners of the 2025 American Association) at 19:00 local time. Matanzas Crocodilos, the winners of Cuba's 2025 Serie Nacional, will have their rest day.

The top two finishers at the end of the round robin will advance to the Championship Game, scheduled for Sunday, 29 March, at 14:00 local time.

Mexico City and the LMB successfully hosted the BCL Americas 2025, a six-team tournament won by Diablos Rojos del México, which also featured champion clubs from Cuba, Curaçao, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and the United States.
