Morning Briefing: Francisco Alvarez to Play by Saturday
Good morning, Mets fans!
Carlos Mendoza told SNY that the Mets will have a simulated game today or Thursday for players who have not appeared in a spring training game yet.
Mendoza also announced that Francisco Alvarez will play by Saturday, and Brett Baty will see time at first base by this weekend.

The Mets jumped out early in a 6-6 spring training tie with the Houston Astros at Clover Park, scoring four runs in the first inning behind a three-run homer from Mike Tauchman and a solo shot from Ronny Mauricio. Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette also contributed early, helping New York build a 6-1 lead.
