Morning Briefing: Teams Have Interest in Brett Baty, Mark Vientos

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Pittsburgh Pirates have increased their aggressiveness in adding to their roster this offseason, most recently getting involved in the Framber Valdez bidding and showing interest in Marcell Ozuna.

Reports came out on Wednesday that Pittsburgh was also looking to make a move for one of the Mets’ third basemen, Mark Vientos and Brett Baty. Will Sammon of The Athletic went on SNY on Wednesday night and confirmed reports that several teams have shown interest in the young infielders, including the Pirates.

While he did confirm the reports, Sammon mentioned that the Mets value Baty and Vientos highly and that nothing is close to materializing on that front.
