Softball Canada completes roster for WBSC U-23 Men's Softball World Cup 2026
Canada announced its squad of 16 players who will participate in the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup 2026, which is due to take place from 25 April to 3 May in Sincelejo, Colombia.
Softball Canada previously announced eight core players to the U-23 Men’s National Team in November and has added eight athletes from the athlete pool to complete the roster. The athletes joining Team Canada are Brad Barker, Riley Good, Adrian Green, Nic McGrayne, Will Schlotzhauer, Dale Schweyer, Danny Scott and Aidan Yarde.
“We’re excited about the players who have been selected to represent Canada at the WBSC U-23 Men’s World Cup,” stated Canadian U-23 Men’s National Team Head Coach Doug Allin. “These athletes have had a tremendous amount of success at the national level and most have previous international experience at the U-18 and U-23 levels that will be extremely helpful in our chase for a World Cup gold medal.”
The Canadian World Cup roster features nine returning players from the Americas Qualifier in La Pampa, Argentina, where Canada was awarded the silver medal and qualified for the World Cup.
Canada finished fifth in the inaugural edition of the WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup in 2023.
