Heroes de la Trocha Cup opens 2026 Baseball5 action in Cuba
Top Baseball5 action has started in the New Year in Cuba with the third edition of the Héroes de la Trocha Cup opening on Sunday.
The tournament features two-time world champions Briandy Molina and Orlando Amador, as well as French World Cup medalist Omar Dionene.
Mexican players Omar López and Javier Santos are also participating in the tournament. López and Santos are World Cup veterans with their national team.
A total of 11 teams, divided into two groups, are taking part in the tournament. According to Baseball5 Technical Director Eros Bernal, three of the teams are mostly formed by youth players.
On Wednesday, December 7, an All-Star Game will take place, along with a skills competition and a historic match in which the Cuban senior national team, reigning world champion, will face the Cuban youth national team, also reigning champions.
