Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Peru and Venezuela battle for gold at Bolivarian Games Women’s Softball tournament in Lima
The Women’s Softball competition at the Bolivarian Games Ayacucho Lima 2025 is underway, featuring four national teams — World No. 15 Venezuela, No. 18 Peru, No. 30 Dominican Republic and No. 61 Bolivia — competing for the gold medal at the Villa María del Triunfo Softball Stadium.
The tournament follows a double round-robin format running through Wednesday, 26 November. The top two teams in the standings will advance to the gold medal final on Thursday at 12:30 p.m., while the third and fourth-placed teams will contest the bronze medal game at 10:00 a.m.

Defending champions Venezuela aim to retain their title after a strong performance at the 2024 edition, where they defeated Colombia 9–2 in the final. Dominican Republic earned the bronze medal by overcoming Peru 4–2, while Guatemala, Chile and Bolivia rounded out the standings.
Located within Lima’s Villa María del Triunfo sports complex, the softball stadium has become one of South America’s leading venues for international softball. Officially inaugurated for the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, it has since hosted multiple world-class WBSC events, including the U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup 2021.
The stadium is also slated to stage the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Group B in 2026, ahead of the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
Following the conclusion of the softball tournament, the Bolivarian Games baseball competition will take place from 30 November to 5 December, featuring six teams: World No. 5 Venezuela, No. 13 Colombia, No. 26 Curaçao, No. 47 Peru, No. 56 El Salvador and No. 67 Ecuador.
The Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO) unites the Bolivarian nations through sport and is a member of Panam Sports, which operates under the International Olympic Committee (IOC) framework. ODEBO’s full members include Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
