WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari re-elected ARISF Secretary General

WBSC President Riccardo Fraccari has been re-elected as Secretary General of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF). He will serve in the position until 2029 alongside President Raffaele Chiulli, who was also re-elected during the ARISF General Assembly in Lausanne, Switzerland.

"It’s a very proud moment for me to be re-elected as Secretary General of ARISF today," President Fraccari said after the General Assembly. "The Olympic Movement continues to evolve and I'm honoured to have such an important role with the ARISF in helping shape the future of sport as we know it.”

In addition to ARISF, the WBSC President is actively involved in other executive boards in world sport, including his role as Treasurer of the SportAccord Executive Committee and ARISF representative. Fraccari is also a member of the IOC Esports Commission and the SportAccord Remuneration Commission. The Italian sports leader has served the international sports movement since 2013 within ARISF and brings to the role extensive experience in sport governance and organisation.

Along with Chiulli and Fraccari, Mr. John Liljelund was elected Vice-President of ARISF, while Zena Wooldridge, Robert Rauch and Anna Arzhanova were elected members of the ARISF Executive Board.

ARISF is the world authority regrouping all IOC-Recognised International Sports Federations. It is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-discriminatory organisation constituted through and recognised by the International Olympic Committee.

Aiming to unite, promote, represent and support the IOC-Recognised International Sports Federations in reaching their objectives, ARISF coordinates their common interests and goals while preserving their autonomy. It also serves as a strong voice for its Members in dialogue with the IOC, representing through them hundreds of millions of individual members and billions of fans worldwide.

Currently, the Association counts 40 International Sports Federations, including: Air Sports, American Football, Automobile, Bandy, Baseball-Softball, Basque Pelota, Billiards Sports, Boules Sports, Bowling, Bridge, Cheerleading, Chess, Climbing Mountaineering, Cricket, Dance Sport, Floorball, Flying Disc, Ice stock Sport, Karate, Kickboxing, Korfball, Lacrosse, Life Saving, Motorcycling, MuayThai, Netball, Orienteering, Polo, Powerboating, Racquetball, Sambo, Ski Mountaineering, Squash, Sumo, Tug of War, Underwater, University Sports, Waterski-Wakeboard, World Boxing, Wushu.
