Report: Mets Coach Desi Druschel Headed Back To Yankees

0 3

Sunday night, Jeff Passan of ESPN reported that New York Mets assistant pitching coach, Desi Druschel, is leaving the organization and rejoining the New York Yankees staff.

Druschel joined the Mets following the 2024 season, from the Yankees. He served under Jeremy Hefner, who was let go earlier in the offseason, in 2025. Passan confirmed that the Mets allowed Druschel to talk to other teams, and evidently agreed to return to the Yankees where he spent 2022 through 2024 with the big-league club.

Druschel previously has numerous stops throughout the collegiate ranks, most notably serving as the University of Iowa’s pitching coach. He joined the Yankees organization in 2019.

The Mets have yet to make any announcement in terms of additions to their pitching staff outside of the previously reported departures.
