According to a report by Mike Puma of the New York Post, Pete Alonso is seeking a seven-year deal in free agency. He is prepared to opt out of his Mets contract as he seeks a long-term deal from a team.

Playoff Update
- Chicago Cubs 1, Milwaukee Brewers 3 – Brewers advance to the NLCS.
The ALCS begins Sunday at 8:03 p.m. in Toronto. The Mariners send Bryce Miller, on three days’ rest, to the hill against the Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman.
The Brewers vs. Dodgers NLCS will being Monday, the same day as Game 2 of the ALCS.
