WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup: Korea beat South Africa to close Opening Round
Korea defeated South Africa at Okinawa Cellular Stadium in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, to complete Game 17, suspended on Day 3, September 7, and take Group A of the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS to a conclusion.

The outgame of the game won't impact the second round of the tournament.
World No. 1 Japan, No. 4 Korea, No. 7 Puerto Rico, No. 3 USA, No. 2 Chinese Taipei, and No. 9 Panama will play the Super Round, with the top four advancing to the Medal Round.
Cuba, Italy, South Africa, Germany, Australia and China will play the Placement Round.
The second round will open on Thursday, September 11, at Cellular Stadium and Nishizaki Stadum in Itoman
Korea-South Africa 17-0
The game resumed with left-hander Jansun Park on the mound, Donovan Wallendorf at firt, South Africa's centre fielder Imaad Hassiem at bat. Park used six pitches to get Hassiem ground out to shortstop and close a third inning that began on September 7.
Korea added four runs on two hits and two walks on Imaad Hassiem in the top of the fourth and closed the game by the run-difference rule after five innings.
