Phillies release 2026 schedule
The Phillies announced their 2026 schedule on Tuesday.
Some of the more notable dates on the schedule include opening and closing the season with a pair of six-game homestands at Citizens Bank Park, along with not playing any home games when the World Cup is slated to be at Lincoln Financial Field next summer.
Opening Day next year will be Thursday, March 26. The Phillies will host the Texas Rangers. The two clubs will be off the following day and wrap up the series over the weekend. The Phillies will remain home for three more games against the Washington Nationals before heading on their first roadtrip of the season, a West Coast swing, for three games against the Colorado Rockies and three games against the San Francisco Giants.
The final series of the season will take place between Friday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 27, when the Phillies host the Tampa Bay Rays.
Some of the quirkier parts of the schedule come in June and early July. The World Cup can be thanked. South Philly will be the location for six World Cup games next summer, five of which take place between June 14 and June 27. The sixth game will be played on July 4.
The Phillies will have off on Friday, June 19. It’s an off day in the middle of a three-game series against the New York Mets at home. They’ll also have off on Friday, July 3 before a three-game set in Kansas City against the Royals begins on Saturday, July 4; the series ends on a Monday.
Also part of the odd scheduling in late June and early July is that the Phillies play 20 games in 21 days heading into the All-Star break. Of those 20 games, only four are at home. Their first half closes with a nine-game, three-city roadtrip before Citizens Bank Park hosts the All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 14.
The final month of the season includes 24 games — 13 at home and 11 on the road. Nine of those road games are part of a 10-day roadtrip against National League East foes in mid-September; the trip starts in Atlanta against the Braves, continues in Washington versus the Nationals and concludes with four games at Citi Field against the Mets.
