Triple-A

Syracuse Mets (54-51) 2, Buffalo Bisons (40-61) 1

Box Score

Syracuse walked 11 times, using the wildness of Adam Macko to their advantage. Reyes has been hot as of late, slashing .316/.415/.481 in July with a 12/12 BB/K ratio.

  • RHP Brandon Sproat (4.07 ERA) 5 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 9 K (56 of 95 pitches for strikes)

Sproat had yet another scoreless outing and is capping off the month of July with a 0.67 ERA with 33 Ks in 27 innings while holding hitters to a .152 batting average. With the MLB trade deadline having passed and the recent ineffectiveness of Clay Holmes as a starter, a window may be opening up for Sproat to get promoted to New York.
