Morning Briefing: Kodai Senga Set to Return After IL Stint

0 2

Good morning, Mets fans!

After back-to-back series wins and a thrilling comeback in Baltimore on Tuesday, the Mets came back to earth on Thursday, getting swept in a doubleheader by the Orioles. New York dropped the daycap 3-1 and the nightcap 7-3, with bullpen struggles, quiet bats and sloppy infield defense contributing to the losses.

Kodai Senga, who’s recorded a 1.47 ERA in 13 starts this season, will make his return from the injured list against the Kansas City Royals tonight. The 32-year-old had been out since June 12 with a right hamstring strain.
