The Guardians Should Promote Chase DeLauter Today
The beatings will continue until morale improves
The Guardians should promote Chase DeLauter today. Let me tell you why:
-DeLauter is ready. He is on a 33-game on-base streak and just hit a 412 foot home run 109 mph:

The @CleGuardians' No. 2 prospect (@CLBClippers) extends his on-base streak to 33 games with his 7th long ball of the season: pic.twitter.com/zJw0n2izd3
-He has an average exit velocity of 91.5 mph, a 50% hard-hit rate, a K/BB% of 15.6/15.6 and a 6.9% swinging strike rate. He is hitting high velo, breaking balls and changeups.
-The Guardians are no longer mired in a 10-game losing streak so there is no sense in which the players on the team will be tempted to view him as someone the front office is foisting on them as "a savior" (or fans to do so, though it has always been ridiculous for the organization to pretend they care anything about what fans think).
-The Guardians are going to see four right-handed starters in the White Sox. Then, they will get an All-Star break. Perfect time to soft-launch the rookie and then get a nice attendance spike when you return home on 7/18.
-Kyle Manzardo and DeLauter developed a friendship in Arizona a couple falls ago. Manzardo just left the team to be with his mom during a heart transplant procedure. Give Kyle his emotional support right fielder as he returns to pray, likely soon.
-Johnathan Rodriguez isn't good. Jhonkensy isn’t good (right now). Lane Thomas will be out for a while with plantar fascitis and they shouldn't need to worry abour his trade value. Time for Nolan Jones and Angel Martinez in center and Chase DeLauter in right.
Stop coming up with excuses and gaslighting fans, Chris Antonetti. Bring Chase up TONIGHT!!!
