Guardians 4, Astros 2; Baseball.
This is a wonderful sport.
Baseball is a wonderful sport.
Days after wrapping up getting swept at home by the division rival Tigers, the Guardians ripped off a gutsy 3-game road sweep of the MLB-best (since May) Houston Astros.
Slade Cecconi was unbelievable. In his best start of the year, and when the Guardians needed their starter to go deep the most, Slade was dominant. 7 beautiful frames that were spoiled by an 8th inning run. Even still, this was the best he’s ever looked.
Angel and Jose went back to back in the 1st.

Everything was pretty quiet until the Guardians loaded the bases in the 7th, and Johnathan Rodriguez broke the game open with this 2-run single.

Much, much needed win. Even more much needed sweep, lol. Absolutely massive for team morale and confidence Let’s just hope they keep winning!
Keep this little streak going in the Southside this weekend, and go into the All-Star Break with no memory of that 10-game slide.
Goodnight
