The Mariners finish off this long four-game series against the Royals

The Mariners close out this long series with the Royals on Fourth of July Eve.

Lineups:

News:

The Mariners recalled Logan Evans to make tonight’s start. With Monday’s off day, they might be able to reshuffle their rotation some to skip Evans on this tough road trip before the break, or at least make it so he doesn’t have to pitch in the bandbox of Yankee Stadium.

Cal Raleigh was named AL Player of the Month, an award he narrowly lost out on to Aaron Judge last month.

Captain’s Log:

Dan Wilson, when asked if he was tempted to look Cal Raleigh’s way during last night’s tightly-contested game against the Royals when Cal was to have a scheduled off-day:

“I tried to avoid contact with him at all costs.”

Game Information:

First Pitch: 7:10 pm PDT. Because of fireworks. And America.

TV: ROOT Sports NW, with Aaron Goldsmith and Ryan Rowland Smith, featuring Jen Mueller as on-field reporter

Radio: 710 AM Seattle Sports, with Rick Rizzs and Gary Hill Jr., and Shannon Drayer doing pre- and post-game

Today in Mariners History:
