The trade deadline is a less than a month away. The Royals had winning months of April and May, but an awful June. Still, they’re far from eliminated from the playoff picture and they boast one of the best pitching groups in all of baseball, even if they’ve been swooning a bit.

Unless, of course, you remain completely convinced that even a couple of bats can’t help this team? Or you don’t think they’re going to the World Series and would rather try again next year. Or maybe you just crave the joy of following high-quality prospects through the minors until they reach the big leagues. Jac Caglianone was certainly more fun when he was crushing AAA pitching than once he got to the big leagues!
