Josh Hartle whiffs 10 in Lake County win, supported by big game from Ralphy Velazquez

Chase DeLauter kept his on-base and hitting streaks alive with a double. It sure would be cool if he was doing this in Cleveland.
There weren’t many offensive standouts as Columbus had just four hits on the day. Will Wilson had two of them, going 2-for-4 with a double. The other hit was a solo home run for Petey Halpin, which accounted for all of the Clippers offense.
Starting pitcher Austin Peterson allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks in 4.1 innings. Ryan Webb closed out the game with 3.2 innings, allowing another two runs.
Akron RubberDucks 6, Erie SeaWolves 2

Akron scored six runs despite collecting just five hits on the day. The RubberDucks made good use of seven walks.
Conner Barstad led the way on offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk. Alex Mooney also went 2-for-3 with a walk while Joe Lampe walked twice. Angel Genao only went 1-for-5, but he had a pair of RBIs.
Starting pitcher Rodney Boone lasted just 2.2 innings even though he didn’t give up any runs, leaving the game in the third inning with an undisclosed injury.
Jake Miller was terrific in relief, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings while Zane Morehouse and Jack Leftwich combined for 2.0 additional scoreless frames.
Lake County Captains 10, Dayton Dragons 5

Lake County scored 10 runs on 14 hits. The Captains were led by prospect Ralphy Velazquez, who went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and four runs batted in.

Juan Benjamin also had a three-hit game, going 3-for-5 with a double and Alfonsin Rosario was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two walks and a hit by pitch to reach base safely five times.
Christian Knapczyk went 2-for-5 with a double and Jacob Cozart and Maick Collado both homered.
Starting pitcher Josh Hartle gave up two runs in the first inning, then locked in. He struck out a career-high 10 batters compared to just one walk with three hits allowed in 5.2 innings.

Lynchburg’s offense was pretty much nonexistent on Tuesday. Bennett Thompson went 2-for-3 to collect the lone multi-hit game while Ryan Mitchell walked twice and stole two bases.
Starting pitcher Sean Matson took the tough luck loss despite pitching well. He allowed one run on three hits with three strikeouts and no walks in 5.0 innings.
Joey Oakie had his best start in the ACL, striking out six and allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in 4.2 innings pitched. Tyler Naquin added 1.1 scoreless innings to pick up the win.
Offensively, Reiner Herrera homered while Gabriel Rodriguez had the lone multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with a double. Robert Arias also doubled and had two RBIs.
