A’s hope to get back into the win column

The Athletics kick off the last leg of their current road trip today when they take on the Tampa Bay Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The Rays are currently 1.5 games behind the New York Yankees in the American League East.

Jacob Lopez will take the mound against his former team today. Lopez, who spent portions of two seasons pitching for the Rays is currently 2-4 with a 3.56 ERA in eleven games (seven starts). Drew Rasmussen will face off against Lopez. Rasmussen, a 29-year-old righty is currently 7-5 with a 2.45 ERA over the course of 16 2025 starts.
