Australia announce roster for WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup presented by RAXUS
Baseball Australia has revealed the U-12 National Team roster to represent the nation at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS.
After successfully qualifying in a tournament in Guam last year, the world No. 12 are now tasked with facing the rest of the world in Taipei City (TPE) from July 25 – August 3. You can see the roster here.
The group will be led by prolific Australian junior coach Matt O’Neill.
The team will gather from July 21 on a three-day camp in Melbourne in a camp that hopes to re-establish the team dynamics and team bonds. “They are a very driven bunch. They are very intrigued – to learn more, to ask questions, and seem to constantly want to develop,” he says. “They’re not here to float. They are always asking questions about things to try.”
"We also want to overspeed some of the kids and get used to higher velocity and bigger diamonds. It’s a 75 foot diamond compared to 60,” says O’Neill. “We want to represent Australia and compete in every game. We want to put this group of kids on the map and just know regardless of the tournament we’re gonna give it our best”
