Today would be a great day for the Guardians to promote outfielder Chase DeLauter to Cleveland.

Will Brennan to the 60-day IL and Johnathan Rodriguez back to Columbus for DeLauter. Everyone manifest it with me.

Our Matt Seese has an article coming momentarily breaking down the numerical reasons to promote Chase DeLauter, so stay tuned! One underrated reason to call up DeLauter is to give him a good run to see if the team needs to try to add an outfield bat at the deadline or not. The pitching is coming around; time to see what it’ll take to fix a bottom third offense.

Zack Meisel has an article for the Athletic today with Guardians’ notes, including a call for the Guardians to promote DeLauter and back up what they were saying to him and others in Spring Training about their expectations that DeLauter would boost their offense this season.

The Guardians will open a three-game series against the Blue Jays tonight while the temperatures hover around “feels like 100.” Good luck to everyone heading down to Progressive Field tonight.
