South Siders look to avoid the sweep against the second-worst AL team

Happy Sunday, Sox fans. Today, the Chicago White Sox will play in the final game of this series against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. It’s been a close two games that have gone the O’s way thus far, as ninth-inning comebacks have fallen short for the South Siders. They will try to salvage the last game of the series today, as new White Sox hurler Adrian Houser will be on the mound against Charlie Morton.

Houser has been lights-out, literally, in his two starts for the White Sox thus far. He is 1-0 with zero runs allowed and eight strikeouts between the two outings. Will he extend the scoreless streak today? Only time will tell ...

Morton has had an extremely rough start for the O’s this year, as the 41-year-old is 1-7 with a 7.09 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. Morton is in his first year with the Birds, after most recently being with the Atlanta Braves. His last outing was his first win of the season, as he went six innings with four hits, two runs, two walks, and five strikeouts against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Chase Meidroth starts it off, followed by Mike Tauchman and Miguel Vargas. Andrew Benintendi is in the 4-spot, as Lenyn Sosa and Joshua Palacios follow. Following an 0-for-5 and three-K day yesterday, Luis Robert Jr. slowly slides down the batting order, followed by Edgar Quero and Josh Rojas.

Game time is at 12:35 p.m. CT. Catch it on CHSN and listen in at ESPN1000.
