Following a rough 7-5 extra-inning loss on Friday night, the Mets redeemed themselves with a 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. David Peterson tossed 7 2/3 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs with seven strikeouts and two walks. Brett Baty also had another solid night at the dish as the Mets improved to 31-21.
They’ll look to take the rubber game with Kodai Senga on the mound at 7:10 p.m. ET on Sunday.
