Morning Briefing: Mets Snap Skid in Boston
Good morning, Mets fans!
Tuesday night’s loss to the Red Sox in Boston marked the Mets’ first three-game losing streak of the season and pushed them a game and a half back of the Phillies for the division lead. After only scoring 10 runs in their last seven games, New York put half that run total up in Wednesday night’s win against Boston. Brett Baty drove in three runs from the nine hole and Tylor Megill struck out 10 in 4 2/3 innings in a Mets 5-1 win. Click here for the full-game recap!
After salvaging the series finale against the Red Sox, the Mets will head back home to Queens to prepare for a weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, starting Friday. The probable pitching matchups are Clayton Kershaw vs. Griffin Canning, Tony Gonsolin vs. David Peterson and Landon Knack vs. Kodai Senga.
