Jesus Travieso took the loss in his third start for the Red Sox. The 18-year-old right-hander allowed two earned runs on four hits (including a solo homer), no walks, and a career-high eight strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings. Fellow righty Wuilliams Rodriguez (pictured) took over out of the bullpen and yielded one unearned run on four hits, no walks, and a season-high five strikeouts across 3 1/3 innings. Nicolas De La Cruz surrendered three additional runs in the top of the ninth.
At the plate, the Red Sox were held to just three hits as a team. Enddy Azocar went 1 for 4 with a double. Yohander Linarez went 1 for 3 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored. D'Angelo Ortiz went 1 for 3 with one run scored. Ilan Fernandez drew a pair of walks.

Player of the Day: Wuilliams Rodriguez gets the nod for putting forth a solid effort in his fifth relief appearance of the season for the Red Sox. The 19-year-old Venezuelan lowered his ERA to 0.82 through 11 innings in which he has struck out 13 and walked only two while holding opposing FCL hitters to a .205 batting average. He originally signed with Boston for $50,000 as an international free agent in January 2023 and is not currently ranked among the organization's top 60 prospects.
