Morning Briefing: Orioles Fire Manager Brandon Hyde

Following a rough 15-29 start to the 2025 season, the Orioles have fired their manager, Brandon Hyde, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Throughout his seven seasons as Baltimore’s skipper, Hyde logged a 0-5 postseason record with the Orioles throughout three playoff appearances.

The Mets secured a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees for their first Subway Series victory of the season. Griffin Canning earned the starting nod, tossing 5 1/3 innings while surrendering seven hits and two earned runs while walking one batter and striking out four.
The Mets will now look to take the rubber game in the series at 7:10 p.m. ET with David Peterson on the mound against Max Fried.
