CARL ALBERT STATE COLLEGE RETIRES LONG-TIME COACH’S JERSEY

POTEAU, OKLA. –– Carl Albert State College proudly retired Coach Mark Pollard’s jersey during a recent Vikings home baseball game, honoring his extraordinary impact on the program. Pollard notched his 1,000th career win in 2016 during his 34th and final season as head baseball coach. Over his storied career, he produced 11 MLB draft picks—two of whom reached the major leagues—and 15 NJCAA All-Americans. After stepping away from baseball, Pollard continued to serve the college by coaching softball until his retirement in 2020. The jersey retirement celebrates a legacy of excellence, leadership, and lasting influence on Viking athletics.
