Game Thread XXIX: Astros vs Royals
A perfect homestand, a 7-game win streak, and a chance to get back over .500 hangs in the balance this afternoon
Man, how much a week can change the outlook of things. Last Sunday, nothing was going right for the Royals, and they were finishing a miserable road trip taking on reigning Cy Young award winner Tarik Skubal.
Since then, they have ripped off six straight wins, including two extra innings wins. The offense has found some juice, and the pitching has carried them in the last couple of games. Now seemingly everything is coming up Kansas City.
Kris Bubic, who has arguably been their best starter so far this season, will take the bump as the Royals will try and sweep the Astros before an off day.

It won’t be easy, because the Astros have right hander Hunter Brown going for them. Brown has been as good, if not better than Bubic so far this season. So, expect another low scoring affair this afternoon. Houston hasn’t scored yet this series, but this lineup will try and change that today.
Last one in KC.

The Royals will try and win their 7th straight game, finish up a perfect 6-0 homestand and get back over .500 at 15-14. They have an off day tomorrow, before starting a road trip against the Tampa Bay Rays.
