Royals Rumblings - News for April 13, 2025
Another reliever hits the IL.
See, I told you in yesterday’s Rumblings that I might make a mistake. I think there was a miscommunication and I was supposed to handle today’s Rumblings. My apologies for not getting this up on time.
As I am preparing for my kid’s 7th birthday party, these Rumblings will be short.
Jonathan India’s injury appears to be day-to-day, at least initially.
At that point, India knew he needed to get out of the game, fearing that anything more would lead to more missed time than a day or two. Known for being a gamer who doesn’t like to sit out, India said this might have been the first time he was preemptive about an injury rather than just playing through it.

I’m not sure if this was linked in a Rumblings earlier this week, but baseball journalist Joon Lee faced Adam Ottavino in the cage and tried to make contact.
Derek Guy, the menswear fella on social media (typically @ dieworkwear) had a fascinating thread on shoe costs. I frequented menswear forums once upon a time, so I always find his stuff right up my alley. He references a post from an outlet called SoleReview that accounts for all the costs of making a shoe leading right up to you buying it.
Song of the day is “Survive the Night” from Lin-Manual Miranda’s musical concept album based on 1979 movie “The Warriors”. My wife’s a big musical theater nerd and introduced this musical to me after we recently watched the 1979 movie. Both the movie and the musical are awesome.
