J.T. Ginn gets the call today

Falling just a run short last night, the Athletics are back at it today at Sutter Health Park for the second game of the series against the Mets. Today’s matinee will feature the call-up of J.T. Ginn from the Las Vegas Aviators. Ginn was 1-1 last year in eight appearances (six starts) with a 4.24 ERA and twenty-nine strikeouts in thirty-four innings. He’s never faced the Mets. Today, he’ll go up against David Peterson. Peterson is 1-0 in 2025 with a 2.53 ERA in two starts. He had a solid outing against the A’s last season in August, giving up just one run on three hits in the victory.
