Royals vs Orioles Game 7 Gamethread

The 2024 AL Wild Card rematch begins tonight.

After an off day yesterday, the 2-4 Royals open up a series against the 3-4 Baltimore Orioles tonight at Kauffman Stadium on a wet-ish and chilly Friday evening. Let’s hope the weather doesn’t cool the bats, or the dogs. It’s Bark at the Park night! Get ready to see some Very Good Dogs on the telly.

It’s a rematch of last year’s playoff series in which the Royals won on the backs of the pitching. The Orioles just can’t seem to beat these guys in the playoffs.

I, personally, love the Royals City Connect jerseys. My only Royals jersey with a name on it is a City Connect one with...Brady Singer’s name. Ooooh wellllllllll.

Seth Lugo takes the mound tonight. In his last start he pitched five innings and gave up three runs. He did not look like he had his sharpest stuff, with three walks and four strikeouts.

Dean Kremer starts for the Orioles. He gave up five runs in five and one-third innings to the Blue Jays last time out.

Game time is 6:40pm US Central.
