News and Notes for Friday, March 28th, 2025

A two-run homer:
And a double:
He also had a walk. And he did his damage all off left-handed pitching, impressing manager Stephen Vogt and Steven Kwan, who also had a great game.
Cade Smith was dominant as usual:

The Guardians have a day off and will resume play on Saturday at 4:05PM EDT, when Bibee may start.
The Columbus Clippers have their first game today at 4:05PM EDT, so we should get minor league rosters today.
Tommy and I released a Disgusting Baseball podcast last night, talking about the season opener and drafting Guardians’ prospects we think may debut this year.
AROUND MLB:
MacKenzie Gore struck out 13.
The Twins and Tigers lost (the Dodgers may never lose) and the White Sox won.
