Introducing the Lookout Landing Minecraft Server!
A new way for the LL community to interact
This year we’re starting something new! A Minecraft server open to all members of the LL community (and friends of the site).
The hope is to run this server throughout the entire season, with people joining and building houses, farms, ships, and whatever else they’d like. It’s a new place where we can interact and hang out outside the context of baseball or an in-person meetup.
The main community build is a 1:1 scale recreation of T-Mobile Park! A handful of us on the site have been working on it for a little over a week now, and we’re excited to open it up to the public. The playing field is just about finished, and now we’re ready to start work on the stadium structure itself. This is going to be a very large project between gathering materials, landscaping, and building. But we’re confident that as a community we’ll be able to work together to get it done.
But participation in the ballpark project is by no means mandatory! If you’d like, you can run miles away and build your own house out in the woods. The more the merrier, and just being present will help our server come to life!
How to join!
The server is in the Java Edition of Minecraft, and is still running 1.21.4 (we’ll update to 1.21.5 soon!). Here’s how to join!
- Open the Minecraft launcher and select “Java Edition” on the left hand side.
2. At the top of the window, click “Installations” and then “New installation.”
3. Select version 1.21.4 in the version dropdown menu, and then click install.
4. In the main menu, select “Multiplayer” and then “Add server” in the bottom right. Feel free to put anything you like under “Server Name” and under “Server Address” type “173.0.153.129:28754”.
You are now ready to connect to the server and play with us! If you need help with anything, all you have to do is ask! Have fun and we can’t wait to see what you build!
