Happy Ragans day!

Today marks the beginning of the final week of Spring Training. Next week, the Royals will play two exhibition games in Texas against the Rangers on Monday and Tuesday and then officially open the regular season hosting the Guardians at 3:10 CDT in Kauffman stadium. We’re almost done here!

Cole Ragans will make his penultimate start today, he’ll also likely start in the Spring Training finale on Saturday as well to get on schedule for the Thursday opener. He might go as many as five innings today. The lineup is still full of bubble cases and the Spring Training roster still sits at 50 players after Evan Sisk was demoted following yesterday’s action. They’ll need to send 24 more players elsewhere before regular season action can begin in a little under two weeks. This will be the last chance for some of the players who appear today - including outfielder John Rave and utility player Harold Castro - to make their cases for the big league roster.

Lineup

It’d be really fun to see Ragans dominate some more today!
