Let’s get it

Two straight drubbings. Two straight losses. Time to break that streak. The A’s take on the Colorado Rockies for another spring tune up as the regular season slowly approaches.

Taking the hill for our Green & Gold will be left-hander Hogan Harris. Still in the running for a rotation job, Harris will be making his fourth appearance this spring. He has yet to allow a run in 4 23 innings pitched in the small sample size that is spring training, but he hasn’t hurt his status as much as competitor Osvaldo Bido. A strong outing from Harris today could leapfrog him into the favorite for that coveted fifth starter’s role come Opening Day.

The lineup for today’s contest:

The recently extended Lawrence Butler takes back his place at the top of the lineup as the leadoff hitter followed by what should be his sidekick, shortstop Jacob Wilson. The top 4 in the line up looks pretty much set as you can expect these guys to be getting games started for the good guys this season. It looks like a strong top half of the line up, the bottom half will determine how far this team goes this year.

Colorado meanwhile will send out their top pitching prospect today in Chase Dollander. He’ll be making his third start of the spring today against our A’s, but not the last. He has a promising future ahead of him, even in Colorado.

The Rockies’ lineup for today:

Let’s go A’s! Time to get back in that spring training twin column.
