Morning Briefing: Mets Offered Julio Teheran a Minors Deal

0 6

Good morning, Mets fans!

Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Mets reportedly offered Julio Teheran a minor league deal a few weeks ago. Teheran, the longtime Brave, notably signed a deal with the Mets early last season and made just one start for the team (4 ER in 2 2/3 innings) before being let go. He also spent time with the Cubs’ and Orioles’ Triple-A squads last season.

Teheran, if he were to have signed with the Mets, would offer solid rotation depth with Sean Manaea and Frankie Montas set to miss the beginning of the season.
