Morning Briefing: Former Mets GM Billy Eppler Joins Brewers
Good morning, Mets fans!
Former Mets general manager Billy Eppler took a position as a special advisor for the Milwaukee Brewers last night, according to Andy Martino. Eppler was the Mets general manager from 2021-2023, and held the same position with the Los Angeles Angels before that from 2015-2020. Eppler’s official title with the Brewers is Special Advisor, Scouting and Baseball Operations.

Cardinals left handed pitcher Zack Thomspon will be shut down 3-4 weeks after suffering a lat injury. The 27-year-old will start the season on the injured list. He had a 9.53 ERA over 17 innings pitched in 2024.
