Mariners 2025 Spring Training Game #11 (3/2): Open Game Thread
From Sox to Rox
When I signed up to recap this game, there were two things I didn’t know. On the positive side, it’s a Logan Gilbert start! On the negative side, it’s a radio-only game. Radio games are hard to recap, but over the past month, I’ve really been trying to adopt a mindset that nothing in life is unequivocally positive or unequivocally negative. So I’m resolving to use the opportunity to clean my apartment while the game is happening—something I wouldn’t be able to do if my eyes were as busy as my ears. What will you do during the game?
Logan will look to recover from his shaky first start against what’s pretty close to the Rockies’ best available lineup. Though that’s admittedly a low bar. The Mariners are putting out pretty far from their best available lineup, but at least we’ll get to see hear more Harry Ford and Colt Emerson.
UPDATE: Anders here to report that we also got our very first round of roster cuts for the spring. No real surprises here, but I did personally expect Hunter Cranton to last a bit longer before reassignment.
