Mariners 2025 Spring Training Game #4, 02/24/25: Open Game Thread
happy logan day to all who celebrate
After picking up yesterday’s win in dominant fashion over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Mariners are heading on the road to Phoenix to play the Milwaukee Brewers. The M’s are hunting for their first away win of Spring. And while it is Spring Training and results don’t matter even a tiny bit in the end, a win always feels better anyway.
Lineups:
In addition to having Logan Gilbert on the bump to start, we are also getting our first look at new acquisition Rowdy Tellez, who signed a minor league deal just 3 days ago. Tellez has been hanging around the league for the last 12 years, so we have a pretty clear picture of what he’s capable of, but it’s always good to get that first game in a Mariners uniform out of the way. Everyone else in the lineup has taken at least one PA so far this Spring, and I wouldn’t expect them to stay in the game long.
Probable pitchers for Seattle include: Logan Gilbert, Trent Thornton, Gabe Speier, Taylor Saucedo, Colin Snider, Sauryn Lao, and Brandyn Garcia.
On the other side of things, the Brew Crew are sending out a close-to-Major-League lineup to start the game, likely because they’ll get a chance to get their eyes on Seattle’s great pitching staff. Milwaukee is 1-1 on the Spring, after getting detonated yesterday by the Rockies.C
Brewers probable pitchers include: Chad Patrick, Bryan Hudson, Elvis Peguero, Jared Koenig, Deivi García, and former Mariner Easton McGee.
Where to listen:
Despite what the recent webcasts may have lulled you into believing, Spring Training still exists in some kind of mirror dimension where half the time the television camera was never invented. As such, today’s game will only be available over the radio waves, either on Seattle Sports 710 AM, or through listening in on MLB.TV.
First pitch is at 12:10 PT.
