Mets Reveal New Road Uniforms for 2025

The Mets will have a different look this season.

In an exclusive with UniWatch, the Mets have shared a redesigned of their road jerseys—the classic road grays and a blue alternate, which received mixed reviews when it was unveiled a few weeks ago at Amazin’ Day.

Changes to the road grays include removal of the blue piping by the sleeves, replaced with a blue/orange/blue stripe that is by the sleeves and collar. The numbers on the front are smaller than last season and the name on the back is larger.

The blue alternates, which were revealed a couple of weeks ago, detail the homage to the 1987 Mets uniforms with the script on the front. UniWatch has all the details on that jersey, too.

UniWatch also reported that the black jersey and home jersey will be the same as 2024 despite rumors on social media that changes were on tap.

Phil Hecken of UniWatch had thoughts on the blue alternate.

“While the new blue alternate is even worse visibility-wise (plus it’s a pullover with a terrible wishbone collar design) than the black alternate, the blue alternate will actually pair well with the new road pants, since the sleeve and collar trim match the trim on the new gray pants,” wrote Hecken. “That’s a small consolation, since the new road jersey could have looked so much better if they’d simply filled in the outlines and ditched the stealth motif.”

As for the road jersey, Hecken needs to see them “in action” before offering a full opinion, but he is optimistic.

“The little bit of orange between the thin royal stripes should inject just enough color to give the jersey (and pants) a bit of pop,” he wrote. “I also like that the stripe now ends at the hem, whereas the blue piping had always been placed just above the sleeve end.”

The Mets’ first regular season road game is at Houston on March 27.
