According to MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, the Braves and Cubs are among the teams interested in free-agent pitcher Ryne Stanek. Across 16 1/3 innings pitched with the Mets last season, Stanek posted a 6.06 ERA. His season ERA was 4.88 in 55 1/3 innings.

According to MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo, Mets third baseman Brett Baty will change his No. 7, opening up No. 22 for outfielder Juan Soto.
