Guardians News and Notes: The Cleveland PR Machine Whirrs Away

As we head down this final stretch toward Christmas, one would expect some MLB free agent activity as players look to get set before the new year. Will Cleveland be involved?

Jason Lloyd seems to think the team is mostly done adding to the roster, for the Athletic. Terry Pluto and Lloyd both spit out company lines about Juan Brito and Travis Bazzana being options to replace Andres Gimenez, on opening day in the case of the former and sometime in midsummer in the case of the latter. Personally, I'll believe it when I see it, and I fully expect Tyler Freeman, Gabriel Arias or Daniel Schneemann to get first look there. But, I want the team to be aggressive with their best options, as they generally were last season.

There continue to be rumors about teams like the Yankees inquiring about Josh Naylor. Expect that to continue but I doubt he is moved.
