Morning Briefing: Jett Williams Suffers Injury in AFL Finale

Good morning, Mets fans.

Mets prospect Jett Williams left Thursday’s final regular season Arizona Fall League game after colliding with the outfield fence, suffering a right ankle sprain. The severity is still unclear, but team officials are hopeful it’s a minor issue as they look toward the offseason. Williams and walked to the dugout independently, although with a noticeable limp. The Scottsdale Scorpions won the game 7-6 to play in a playoff game on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. ET. Mets prospects Drew Gilbert (1-for-1, 3 BB, SB) and Jacob Reimer (1-for-2, HR) played key roles in the win.
