Mets prospect Jett Williams was removed during his final game of the Arizona Fall League Thursday after crashing into an outfield wall. The creator of The Prospect One podcast, who goes by The Welsh on Twitter, posted a video of Williams limping off the field.

Williams, 21, missed much of 2024 due to a wrist injury, registering just 148 plate appearances across three levels, and slashing .215/.358/.298 with no home runs and five stolen bases. The 2022 first-round pick (14th overall) was impressive a year ago when he posted an .876 OPS with 13 home runs and 45 steals.

He was healthy for the AFL season, which started last month and in 100 plate appearances, he went 18-for-80 (.225) with two home runs, nine RBIs, and three doubles. He drew 17 walks and was 7-for-8 stealing bases.

We will provide an update with more information on the injury once it’s available.
